Translated from the original Bengali article published in Śrī Gauḍīya Darśan, Volume 5, Issue 4, on Saturday 14 November ”It is that last form of pratiṣṭhā, or ego, [of being a devoted disciple] that I shall surely have the good sense and courage to preserve, by Śrī Guru-pāda-padma’s causeless mercy. Though you all feel a great deal of pride in connection with me, personally I find it embarrassing.

This is Śrī Guru’s specialty. When cit-vṛtti (spiritual strength and tendency)awakens, one will be active and always perform bhakti. Any jīva who comes to Śrī Guru will develop deep faith and love. They will not be able to go far away from Guru-pāda-padma.

Relationship with Śrī Guru is eternal. Śrī Gurudev is not exactly our eternally worshippable beloved as is the Lord—Śrī Gurudev is more than Him.

This is because the Lord is the nearest and dearest worshippable object of Śrī Gurudev, yet the jīva’s only medium for communication with the Lord is through Śrī Guru-pāda-padma. When one understands this and offers himself to Guru-pāda-padma, Śrī Guru bestows spiritual vision and the sādhaka realizes everything.

His disease of looking at everything as objects of his sense enjoyment is cured, as he understands, “I am the servant of God, and all jīvas and objects of this world are the property of God.”.

This book is published by the inspiration of the most merciful Śrī-guru-pāda-padma Nitya-līlā Praviṣṭa Oṁ Viṣṇupāda Aṣṭottara-śata Śrī Śrīmad Bhakti-dayita Mādhava Gosvāmī Mahārāja. With love and respect, I am placing what is actually Śrīla Gurudeva’s property into his own lotus hands.

Dedicated to my śrī guru-pāda-padma. śrī gauḍīya-vedānta-ācārya-kesarī nitya-līlā-praviṣṭa oṁ viṣṇupāda aṣṭottara-śata śrī. Śrīmad Bhakti Prajñāna Keśava Gosvāmī Mahārāja. The best amongst the tenth generation of descendants in the bhāgavata-paramparā from Śrī Kṛṣṇa Caitanya Mahāprabhu, and.

The prasāda of Guru-pāda-padma is the prasāda of God. Without the mercy of Guru-pāda-padma, God will not accept anything. Nothing will be pure. If I do meditation, sādhana, and so much austerity, it is not bhakti-yoga.

Once, in a temple in Vṛndāvana, the pujārīs would offer one liter of milk in the morning and evening to the Deities. Narottama dāsa Ṭhākura would compose songs in prayer to his Guru-pāda-padma. Śrī Guru can never reject his disciples.

The relation between Śrī Guru and his disciples is very close. Ordinary people cannot understand this. Once, Rūpa Gosvāmī spoke very strongly to Jīva Gosvāmī, saying, “I want you to leave. Thus, the practice of worshipping Śrī Guru before worshipping the Lord is mandated. Thus, Gurudev’s capability to protect one even when the Lord becomes angry is renowned throughout the scriptures.

We are so averse, however, that we consider Śrī Guru Pāda-padma to be a mortal and simply increase our offensive mentality. śrī guru-pāda-padma, nitya-līlā praviṣṭa oṁ viṣṇupāda aṣṭottara-śata śrī Śrīmad Bhakti Prajñāna Keśava Gosvāmī Mahārāja and for his pleasure, Śrī Jagannātha Ratha-yātrā is being presented before the readers of the Hindi language.

Because of this, I am experiencing boundless joy. guru-mukha-padma-vākya, cittete koribo aikya, ār nā koriho mane āśā śrī-guru-caraṇe rati, ei se uttama-gati, je prasāde pūre sarva āśā (3) cakṣu-dān dilo jei, janme janme prabhu sei.

Guru-pāda-padma arranges the family of Vaiṣṇavas for his disciples to stay in. In the guidance of Vaiṣṇavas, one can continuously serve Guru-pāda-padma. Then, how can anarthas come. Kṛṣṇa-prema–rasa, vraja-rasa, and so forth, comes by the mercy of Śrī Guru. How is bhakti-yogī the highest.

Realization will come of this. praṇamāmi mudā guru-pāda-yugam. I happily bow down at the lotus feet of my Gurudeva, who, as a young boy, left his family and happily traveled to Mathurā. From there he walked to the temple of Śrī Govindadeva in Vrindavan.

Later he met the prime sadhu of Vraja, Śrī Śrī Rāmakṛṣṇa Dāsa Bābājī, and was blessed by him. (3). I know I have many short comings, but guru-pāda-padma’s krpa-śakti, even without my desire, has grabbed me and forced me to go to the Western countries—to especially preach the specialties of Mahāprabhu, His reason for advent, and His pastimes and teachings.

I am not a great preacher. Whatever I have heard from guru-pāda-padma and Vaiṣṇavas, I repeat some of that.
