This is Śrī Guru’s specialty. When cit-vṛtti (spiritual strength and tendency)awakens, one will be active and always perform bhakti. Any jīva who comes to Śrī Guru will develop deep faith and love. They will not be able to go far away from Guru-pāda-padma.
Relationship with Śrī Guru is eternal. Śrī Gurudev is not exactly our eternally worshippable beloved as is the Lord—Śrī Gurudev is more than Him.
This is because the Lord is the nearest and dearest worshippable object of Śrī Gurudev, yet the jīva’s only medium for communication with the Lord is through Śrī Guru-pāda-padma. When one understands this and offers himself to Guru-pāda-padma, Śrī Guru bestows spiritual vision and the sādhaka realizes everything.
His disease of looking at everything as objects of his sense enjoyment is cured, as he understands, “I am the servant of God, and all jīvas and objects of this world are the property of God.”.

The prasāda of Guru-pāda-padma is the prasāda of God. Without the mercy of Guru-pāda-padma, God will not accept anything. Nothing will be pure. If I do meditation, sādhana, and so much austerity, it is not bhakti-yoga.
